Fr. David Loftus

Pastor

About Fr. Loftus
Fr. David Loftus is the third pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes, Northridge. A graduate of All Hallows College, Dublin (1992, 1994), and of Boston College (2000), he has served within the Archdiocese of Los Angeles since his ordination in 1994. Prior to becoming our pastor he served in various parishes. He also worked in the Archdiocesan Office for Religious Education with responsibility for both Catechist Formation (basic and advanced), and Adult Faith Formation.

Mr. Kris Brough

Principal

About Mr. Brough
Mr. Brough is principal of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish School. His family joined the Our Lady of Lourdes parish community in 2007. Prior to joining our school staff he taught at Bishop Alemany and Notre Dame. He is the proud parent of two Lourdes students and one alum.
 
Mr. Brough is a graduate of Bishop Alemany High School, Cal State University Northridge, and Loyola Marymount University.

Mr. Kevin Gallagher

Vice Principal of Technology and Afterschool Programs

About Mr. Gallagher
Mr. Gallagher, Vice Principal of Technology and Student Affairs and STEM Certified Science teacher has been a member of the Lourdes parish community since 1998 and a school staff member since 2000.  During his tenure, Mr. Gallagher has been a classroom Aide, Computer, Math and Science Teacher, and Academic Decathlon Coach.  
 
Mr. Gallagher is a graduate of Crespi Carmelite High School, CSUN, and Loyola Marymount University.

Mrs. Jennifer Reynaga

Vice Principal of Curriculum & Instruction

About Mrs. Reynaga

Mrs. Reynaga is a graduate of Bishop Alemany High School, CSU Long Beach, and Loyola Marymount University.  This is her 15th year in education within the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.  She taught 5th grade for 9 years before transitioning into administration.  After being a principal for four years and taking a year off, she is excited to be back in an administrative role as the Vice Principal of Curriculum and Instruction here at Our Lady of Lourdes.

Mrs. Andrews, a 5th grade STEM certified teacher, has been a member of the Our Lady of Lourdes faculty since 1998. She is a proud parent of an Our Lady of Lourdes student.

Mrs. Andrews is a graduate of St. Mel Elementary School, Louisville High School, CSUN, and Loyola Marymount University.

Mrs. Heather Brough

Second Grade Teacher

About Mrs. Brough
Mrs. Brough has been a member of the Our Lady of Lourdes staff since 2012 and is the 1st grade teacher. She has been a member of the Our Lady of Lourdes community since 2007. She is the proud parent of two Our Lady of Lourdes students and one Our Lady of Lourdes graduate.

Mrs. Brough is a graduate of Bishop Alemany High School, Pasadena City College, CSUN, and Loyola Marymount University.

Mrs. Karen Dabsys

Kindergarten Homeroom Teacher

About Mrs. Dabsys
Mrs. Dabsys attended Antoine Brossard (a French High School in Montreal). She continued her studies at Champlain College and Graduated from McGill University. She is fluent in three languages and has been part of the Our Lady of Lourdes community since 1994. Mrs. Dabsys has taught fourth grade as well as first grade at our school. She is now enjoying teaching the kindergarteners.

About Mrs. Herrera
Nicole Herrera is a graduate of St. Jane Frances De Chantal, Notre Dame High School, and San Diego State University. She received her Masters in Education at Loyola Marymount University. She has taught in Catholic education since 2000. Her oldest daughter attends Notre Dame High School and her two sons currently attend OLL. They are also members of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish.

Ms. McPherson has been the 4th Grade Teacher at OLL since 2003. She is a graduate of Chapman University and LMU.

Mr. Michael Miller

About Mr. Miller
Mr. Miller is a former Los Angeles Times journalist, the co-founder of Moon Tide Press and the author of four books of poetry. He has taught at Golden West College and Los Angeles Southwest College and holds degrees from UC Irvine and the University of East Anglia. In addition to teaching English at Our Lady of Lourdes, he leads the One World poetry class and oversees the annual campus anthology.

About Mrs. Roberts

Mrs. Roberts has been teaching at Our Lady of Lourdes for the past 23 years, she is a graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes, Louisville High School, and Cal State University, Northridge. She is the 8th grade homeroom teacher, and she teaches 7th and 8th Grade Religion and Middle School Social Studies. She is responsible for assisting the students and their families as they prepare for the next important step in education, finding the right high school fit! She is very proud to say that she and her parents were among the founding members of the Our Lady of Lourdes Parish.

Mrs. Smith, third-grade teacher has been a member of the Lourdes parish community since 1993 and a school staff member since 2008. She is the mother of three Our Lady of Lourdes alumni.

Mrs. Smith is a graduate of Bishop Alemany High School… GO WARRIORS! She obtained her B.A. at CSUN… (GO MATADORS! )and her Masters Degree in Education as well as credential at Loyola Marymount University (GO LIONS!).

About Mr. Waitman
My Name is D.J. Waitman and I am your Athletic Director and PE Coach for the 2020-2021 school year. I am a graduate of Alemany High School class of 2011 and got my degree from Northern Arizona University in Elementary Education in 2015. This is my 5th year as Athletic Director and 6th year total at Lourdes. I am excited to get these kids up and active and having fun!

Mrs. Luger is the 1st Grade Instructional Aide. She has been part of the Our Lady of Lourdes staff since 2014. Her family joined the parish community in 2003 where both of her children were baptized. Her son and daughter have attended Lourdes from pre-K onward. In her free time, she enjoys training their dog Magy to be a certified therapy dog.

Mrs. Luger is a graduate of Cal State University, Northridge and Pepperdine’s Graziadio Business School.
