At Our Lady of Lourdes, we believe in developing the whole student through experiences that build a wide range of skills. Some of our extra-curricular activities include:
After school enrichment
Cub/Boy Scout and Brownie/Girl Scouts
The Archdiocese Junior High Decathlon is an academic program for 6th - 8th Grade students comprised of both individual and group events. The decathlon team is made up of 10 students, but the overall team include alternates and students in training.
The decathlon runs from November - March and students meet with their subject leader before or after school.
Parker-Anderson Enrichment and Professor Egghead provide after school enrichment programs to our campus. They provide programs during the fall, winter, and spring which include Chess club, Lego Engineering, Robotics, and Biology (programs vary per session).
Registration and fees are completed through the provider's website. Flyers are sent home and provided online prior to the new session.
Yearbook committee is for 7th and 8th graders who want to create an amazing memoir of the school year events. Students meet before or after school to digitally create the yearbook.
The Our Lady of Lourdes student council is made up of student-elected and moderator invited 7th and 8th graders who meet basic curricular standards. The student council members plan events, pep-rallies, and liturgies throughout the school year.
Throughout the school year, the 7th and 8th grade classes alternate monthly specific campus-based duties related to school safety. Students are assigned before school or after school jobs by the Student Council Safety Officer. Students who consistently fulfill their obligations are able to participate in the end of year safety picnic.
Our Lady of Lourdes Parish is proud to host several scouting groups, including Troop 550 and others.
